I was born in Zimbabwe and grew up on our family farm on the escarpment of the Zambezi River until we were forcefully removed from our land by the government.
After this upheaval I moved to South Africa, and whilst studying Aquaculture, worked in the Stellenbosch wine industry. I then moved to Johannesburg and managed a Koi Farm and natural pond and lake building company. Whilst working on an enormous project for this company in the back end of nowhere, I met my wife Kelly, who, at the time was doing a veterinary internship, and the rest as they say, is history. Kelly has finally qualified as a veterinarian and after many years of moving around the States, we have settled in Florida.
I have no formal training in photography what so ever, but I continue to learn each and every time I go out. I have been surrounded by wildlife in one form or another my whole life and cherish every moment I can spend in the outdoors, whether it is behind the camera or just simply taking a backseat and watching as nature does her thing.
